Familiar Faces Sworn into Fresh Terms in Flossmoor

Flossmoor Mayor Paul Braun, trustees Diane Williams, Philip Minga, James Crumb and Village Clerk Pamela Nixon were all sworn in for new terms during the village board meeting on Monday, June 3.

Flossmoor residents saw some familiar government faces get a fresh start at another term Monday.

Three trustees, the village clerk and the mayor of Flossmoor were all sworn in after retaining their seats in the April 2013 election.

Mayor Paul Braun, trustees Diane Williams, Philip Minga, James Crumb and Village Clerk Pamela Nixon all took their oath of office during the meeting. Mayor Braun's brother and Will County Associate Judge Bennett Braun read the oath.

Mayor Braun took a moment to thank the citizens of Flossmoor for their support and said he was looking forward to another four years serving the community and working with the board.

“It is my pleasure to go forward with this board,” Braun said. “We have all done well the last four years. We have a lot of work ahead of us in the next four years. … It’s my extreme honor and pleasure to work with this board.”
