G.I. Joe lol you guys are telling your age! When it come to Robin Kelly, you guys nailed it on the head about her. She keeps pounding a away an issue that has no significant evidence to support it. The issue has taken national spotlight over many other far greater important issues. An issue with a percentage both locally and nationally of effecting .000018% of the population. Unfortunately gun control (because of the disproportionately reporting on the news) along with a large prejudicial Black American population in the 2nd District, is the only reason Robin Kelly is gaining momentum. Obama, Emanuel, Bloomberg, I cannot remember such an organized pervasive reach into the Constitutional Rights of naturally born citizens in the United States by multiple separate governmental bodies EVER.

New York!!!!! The most egregious violator of both the 2nd and 4th Amendment Rights
ridgeroadmike February 22, 2013 at 06:12 PM
The most important issue in the country today is the economy. The gun issue is important and needs to be discussed, but the economy is really what matters most to me, at least, at this point in time. But I haven't heard a thing about Kelly's views on that. All I've heard is that she's going to eradicate gun violence which is a joke at best. What about my house, which I'd like to sell, but I can't because I'm upside-down on it and have been since 2009? What about gas prices that jumped $.75/gal. in the last week or so? What about foreclosures that continue to occur in the district? What about the people who clean out the district's food pantries every week because, a) the need is huge right now, and b) nobody can afford to make contributions to keep the pantries stocked. There are just so many economic issues of importance and all I hear about is her anti-NRA stance. But what bothers me the most is that this election is being bought for her by the mayor of New York. I have to wonder, when an issue crops up that's of importance to the Second Congressional District of Illinois, who is she going to pay attention to, her constituents or the mayor of New York city?

Well said Mr. Wiggins, but I fear she will win easily. One thing I'll give them is they have a well organized machine and that's what it takes nowadays. Let's pray she is not like Jr.

There's no denying that!

Ammoland is important to NY CITY, the mayor obviously is no fan of the rabbi's who run the business. The fact that Robin, Debbie and the rest are potted plants and will not be JJJ who may have been the most incompetent and biggest fraud outside of Mel, nah there always have been clowns and misfits in Congress and local govt. The real tragedy is only a part of the 2nd dist have any knowledge of any CLOWN or real representation in any government, those in the south Side in the Killing fields have been not been forgotten but targetted along with other ghetto's by Gunrunners and Cartel partners in the basement at 1600 targetted for their Social engineering that was the end of the American DREAM with the signing of NAFTA followed by GATT and now the dream is relocated in BAINLAND CHINA add to that the OXY epidemic of script Heroin part of the Bush payback to the Pharama's and Obama care part D, it is so convoluted only a movie maker will understand certainly no one on these Blogs!

Ernest Fenton is raising a lot of issues about the foreclosure crisis. You might want to look into him. He is being ignored due the the number of candidates running and the fact that others have more clout, but he is a very intelligent and thoughtful attorney.

SEIU keep pushing her because she black and SEIU is a black union i am a member and i havent got rasied in two years
BUTCH February 23, 2013 at 05:36 AM
ADD that to the reasons why there are money in politics but none for the gophers who vote for them, u would think one of these brilliant candidates would bemoan the fact that elections are won for those with the deepest pockets but nope they repeat the same ole same reasons why THEY ARE the brightest and best! Can all of them be ROBIN KELLY straw men? Even Mel could use a handout and consultant job but we haven't heard a word on his roller coaster rise to the Ways- Means along with ERV, CHUCK, ROSTY and JJJ and the wife all of the felons caught up in the conspiracy five in all but it's early! If not it will be bad for the history books good for the mythology writers.
BUTCH February 23, 2013 at 05:40 AM
An afterthought I think BLAGO could be included in the web? after all if there was no Senate seat for him to sell to JJJ he would still be out running in Ravens wood and a different Daley would be Mayor and TWIT may be POTUS.JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

BTW, you convinced me to buy a Radon kit. Interested to see what the results are. The 2nd district is going to be a political machine placement for the dems. For anyone else to win, they need to raise millions of dollars to counter it and they are going in as a non democratic candidate. I can't imagine this changing for another 10 years at least. Glad to see the Homewood Hotel is finally gone. There's definitely some pros and cons to a casino going in there, but at least we are laying the framework for SOMETHING to exist that can generate some tax revenue.
