Is Grape and Grain a store or a bar? They originally said they would be a store, but now they want to have people in there drinking and hanging out. Sounds like a bar to me. Yay, Homewood, another bar. You must be so proud. And, oh yeah, #10 D is about a casino. Because the new flashy sign at the Village Hall won't be enough glitz.

It's not like people are falling out of G&G at 2 am. It is far from being "another bar." It's a lovely store that happens to sell product for immediate consumption. It's making Homewood some much needed cash. It's far better than an empty storefront collecting spiderwebs!

My wife and I went to G&G the other weekend when they had a band playing. It was much needed fun and we were laughing about how we were walking home at 10 pm ready to call it a night. IMHO, G&G is exactly the kind of business that should be supported in Homewood -- it is an asset to the downtown.
