Homewood Approves Dental TIF Disbursement

Trustees voted to give Dr. David Mayer DDS over $12,000 for property improvements.

Homewood trustees approved a $12,362.50 TIF disbursement to Dr. David Mayer's dental office at 18114 Gottschalk during the Oct. 22 board meeting.

The money, given to Mayer through the Façade and Property Improvement Program, is intended to help replace a leaky roof. The Homewood dentist of 24 years moved into his current office, 18114 Gottschalk Ave., in 2006. Since then, he says he's put nearly $200,000 of work into the building.

All trustees agreed on the disbursement, with Jay Heiferman calling the practice "an asset to the community."
