Homewood Promotes Local Businesses

The vIllage board voted in favor of three separate retail enhancement items during Tuesday night's meeting.

Homewood provided an example of its accommodating nature to local businesses during Tuesday night’s village board meeting when three retail enhancement agenda items were approved.

Among the recipients of the incentive awards are:

  • Tim Ehlebracht, Judy Riggs and Tom Fee, owners of 2049 to 2059 Ridge Road. They will be receiving an amount not to exceed $4,300 for the repaving of their parking lot and the reconstruction of their trash enclosure. The money was awarded as part of the “property improvement program.”
  • Paul Arrivo, owner of 18100 and 181002 (part of which is Thai Rickshaw). He will be receiving an amount not to exceed $3,512.50 for the installation of energy-efficient windows. The money was awarded as part of the “go green reward program.”
  • Diana Dills, the new tenant of the former Three Brothers Restaurant at the corner of Dixie and Ridge. Dills, the owner of the soon-to-be home furnishing business “Global Fusion,” will be receiving an amount not to exceed $4,983.69 for initial rent payments and retail shelving. The money was awarded as part of the “retail enhancement incentive program.”

The board voted unanimously in favor of all three funds allowances.
