Incumbents Sweep H-F Park District Race

It was a close race, but incumbents Steve Johnson and Sue Bertram will continue serving on the H-F Park District board of commissioners for 6 more years.

Leadership at the H-F Park District will remain more or less consistent in the coming years—but just barely.

In a tightly contested race, current board president Steve Johnson and longtime commissioner Sue Bertram bested newcomer Rebecca Bright-Pugh for the two open seats on the park district board.

With 29 of 29 precincts reporting, Bertram finished first, with 2,386 votes, followed by Johnson with 1,994. Bright-Pugh finished with 1,682, only 312 behind Johnson.
