Liquor License for Upcoming Homewood Chipotle: On the Agenda

A preview of what's on the agenda for Monday night's Flossmoor Village Board meeting.

Homewood Village President Richard Hofeld and the village trustees will meet at  on Tuesday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Among the agenda items is the competitive bid waiver for the purchase of two new police vehicles. The village will also vote to appropriate a total of $519,000 for the following local road improvements:

  • $134,000 will be dedicated to improving Willow Road from Harwood Ave to Riegel Rd.
  • $385,000 will be dedicated to improving 183rd Street from Sacramento Ave to Riegel Rd. 

Should the vote pass, work on these streets is scheduled to take place this summer.

Liquor License for Upcoming Chipotle

The board will vote on a reuqest from Chipotle Mexican Grill for a class 5 liquor license for their upcoming store on 17700 Halsted St. The restaurant is currently known for offering domestic and import beer and margaritas at many of its other locations. Should the board approve, this will increase the amount of class 5 liquor licenses from one to two.

Tax Incentive Money for Upcoming Grapes and Grain Co.

Ron Khalaf, owner of the soon-to-be at 18031 Dixie Highway is requesting no more than $47,629 from the village for his new business through the village's Façade and Property Improvement and the Go Green Reward programs.
