New Purple Village Hall Lights are Green, Too (Among Other Colors)

On top of being more environmentally friendly, Homewood Village Hall's new lights change color.

The new lights outside Homewood Village Hall (pictured above) are all part of a budgeted landscaping project previously approved by the village board.

The lights are LED, which means they're more environmentally friendly than the previous fixtures and more cost effective as well. Even better, the lights can shine in a variety of colors, not just purple. Good news for those who disagreed with the aesthetic decision.

"We haven't delved into the programming yet, but I'm sure we will once our IT guru comes back from vacation," Homewood Trustee Anne Colton said.
