New Public Works Trucks; Fund Increase: On the Agenda

A preview of what's on the agenda for Monday night's Flossmoor Village Board meeting.

Flossmoor Mayor Paul Braun and the village trustees will meet at  on Monday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Replacement of Public Works Trucks

The trustees will be voting on the purchase of two new replacement public works vehicles: one small dump truck with a snow plow ($46,400) and one pickup truck ($31,825). The net total purchase cost, with trade-in value accounted for, is $68,509.

Working Cash Fund Increase

The village is requesting the working cash fund dollar amount to be increased to $500,000. The fund’s purpose is to reserve sufficient money to meet the demands for ordinary and necessary village expenses.

Public Works Wage Rates

As a state-imposed legal requirement, the village must pass an ordinance that establishes prevailing rates of wages for any village public works contractor.
