Opponent Says Congressman Jackson is Like a 'Hermit' and 'Recluse'

Second District Congressional candidate Marcus Lewis did not bite his tongue when discussing U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s recent behavior.

Does Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.'s recent make him unfit to serve the Second District? His Independent opponent, Marcus Lewis, said it does.

"This man is disqualified," Lewis said in a phone interview Thursday. "If you need medication to keep this in check, then yes, you can live a normal life, but not as a congressman."

Lewis likened the situation to if the public found out the president of the United States was suffering from a mood disorder, saying that people would not be OK with being led by someone with such a disorder.

"(Jackson) is dealing with worldwide issues, making important decisions," Lewis said. "We can't judge him the same way we would anyone else."

Jackson's recent medical leave turned heads, partly . Lewis said he believes Jackson will continue to be invisible to the public in the future.

"He's more like a recluse," Lewis said. "He’s like a hermit. He’s not the outgoing be-in-front-of-the-camera guy anymore."

Lewis criticized Jackson's handling of the medical leave situation, adding that it makes the congressman unelectable. Furthermore, the candidate strongly disagreed with political analyst . "Dick Simpson is basing that on a name," he said. "He does not know about Marcus Lewis."

In response to Republican candidate , Lewis was skeptical.

"He's never going to debate," Lewis said. "He never has."

I care about the poor and the working class of which I am one. I will represent those that have traditionally been left behind. I am not making light of those with mental issues God forbid. That could be me is how I look at life. The men you spoke of with mental issues it is safe to say there illness was not widely known till history recounts it but at the time it was likely held close is inner circles. If they knew what it was at all. I will address the severe need for funding for mental health. Until I get in office I have to address the differences that the incumbent has not addressed and those are many compared to 17 plus years to show for in Congress doing what? The time has simply come and the "CHANGE" MOMENT is upon us in this race. And when the moment passes there will be a new congressman for the 2nd District...Marcus Lewis, Lord Willing.

Who ever you are you should at least tell us you looked at the link I placed here ie., www.drlarryjgoodmanexposed.com and a blind man (not making fun of the blind) could see the "OBVIOUS" sins committed against the black and latino students and Goodman was present when it was going on. Either you did not look at the Rush documents or you just want to spout off your ignorance when anyone else that just looks can see you did not look at all or are in denial. Remember I could be sued "IF" it was a lie...but it is their own documents showing white students receiving more make-ups than the policy allows every quarter but the blacks are held to the strict standard of the rule. If you actually looked you would see Rush Medical College change the status for these dismissed students from "NO" MD on May 1st, 2007 and then after our march on Rush, on May 2nd, 2007, these dismissed students "miraculously" become "overnight MD's" You didn't look or you don't care to see the "real" truth. You like Goodman have an agenda and it is sicking to see grown men and women lie and know their lying and expect others to become "lemmings". I am not like you. Thank God.

My campaign is piercing through decades of no action for this district that have stunted the forward progress for the residents of the former district borders. Just look at the Villages of Harvey, Dixmoor, Phoenix, Robbins, Riverdale to name just a few. The Chicago Southeast-side is left abandon and left to fend for itself which is why I am running to bring this Jackson-style of governing to a screeching halt! So I know the newly added counties of Will & Kankakee will feel relief with Marcus Lewis at the helm not only will receive the Love, Care, Concern & Resources they are due but the entire district! I hope the residents and voters of the entire district will come to believe that the era of Jesse Jackson Jr. will come to an end on Nov. 6th, 2012 because they voted for Marcus Lewis in mass. I am here to help and will put all of my efforts with the backing of the U.S. Government behind rebuilding the areas hardest hit first because the need is so great. But every area will get the focused attention they deserve. So stand with me now 2nd District. We must roll up our sleeves and sit down together and get to work and put in action plans that you will see positive steps that we mean business on picking up ourselves and getting back our identity. We matter and I am going to show the state and country that the 2nd District is a player in the larger scheme of things positive. BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST, VOTE FOR MARCUS LEWIS FOR CONGRESS ON NOV.6TH!
