Much better.

Before Flossmoor joins New Lenox and other towns that have electrical aggregation, voters must approve a referendum that's going on the March 20 ballot. Here's a quick look at the issue.

What's Electrical Aggregation?

State law changed last year to allow villages and counties to shop around for better electricity prices than ComEd offers.

If ComEd offers the best price, nothing will change. If the village finds a better deal elsewhere, your home's or business' power will start to come from that place instead of ComEd.

If you've already arranged an alternate electrical supplier for your home or business, nothing will change for you either way.

What Will Be On The Ballot?

"Shall the Village of Flossmoor have the authority to arrange for the supply of electricity for its residential and small commercial retail customers who have not opted out of such a program"

What's This About a Public Forum?

A public forum to discuss electrical aggregation will be:

7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29.
