Broadcast Teacher Retires After 34 Years at H-F High School

Bob Comstock, who taught broadcast and English classes at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, retired after 34 years on the job at the end of the 2013 school year.

After 34 years of educating the minds of students at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, broadcast and English teacher Bob Comstock has left the building a final time.

The high school community staple wrapped up his career on the final day of H-F's school year.

“We've quadrupled our enrollment, we've increased the size of our facility by tenfold, but the spirit and the enthusiasm of the kids to do great work hasn't changed,” Comstock told CBS Chicago during an interview in early May.
