School Supplies: What Willow Elementary Students Will Need

Patch lists everything your student will need to start the year off right at Willow Elementary School.

In a few short weeks, local schools will open their doors and fill their seats with area children once again. Coincidentally, school supplies will be flying off the shelves amid bustling crowds and endless checkout lines. If you'd like to get a head start on some of the back-to-school commotion, Patch has compiled a list of the supplies kids will need for each area school.

Kindergarten:

  • One two-pocket plastic folder
  • Three two-pocket, three-prong folders (one red, one yellow, one blue)
  • Three boxes Crayola crayons (24 count, regular size)
  • One box of Crayola crayons (64 count); Must be Crayola.
  • Two boxes of Crayola Classic washable thick markers
  • One box of Crayola Classic washable thin markers
  • Four Elmer’s brand white glue sticks
  • Two 4-oz. bottles of Elmer’s brand glue
  • Two large boxes of Kleenex
  • Two containers of baby wipes (80 count)
  • Two large containers of Clorox wipes
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (gallon size)
  • One package of No. 2 pencils, SHARPENED
  • One pair of gym shoes to remain at school
  • A school bag or backpack (large enough to hold a folder)

GIRLS ONLY:

  • One box of 3-oz. paper cups
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (sandwich size)
  • One package of thick dry erase markers
  • One package of small paper plates

BOYS ONLY:

  • One bottle of anti-bacterial soap
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (snack size)
  • One package of thin dry-erase markers
  • One package of large paper plates

First Grade:

  • Two boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count)
  • One box of Crayola markers (classic colors)
  • One 8-oz. bottle of Elmer’s glue (no gel or colored glue)
  • Two 1.4-oz. Elmer’s glue sticks
  • Two Packages of Ticonderoga brand No. 2 pencils, SHARPENED
  • One pair of Fiskar’s brand child scissors, blunt point
  • One small plastic supply box (approx. 8” x 5”), no zippers
  • Two large, pink rectangular erasers
  • Five two-pocket folders (no side pockets)
  • Five black fine-point dry-erase markers
  • One large box of facial tissues
  • One box of rectangular baby wipes
  • One container Clorox wipes
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (gallon size); BOYS ONLY
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (sandwich size); GIRLS ONLY
  • Two old, clean white socks (for dry erase board)
  • One bottle of antibacterial soap
  • One pair of gym shoes to remain at school

Second Grade:

  • One small supply box (cigar box size)
  • One box of markers (regular size, classic colors)
  • One box of crayons (16 + count)
  • One 4-oz. bottle of Elmer’s glue (no gel or colored glue)
  • Three white glue sticks (large size)
  • One pair of Fiskar’s brand child scissors, blunt point
  • Twelve Ticonderoga brand No. 2 pencils, SHARPENED
  • Four two-pocket folders
  • One composition notebook
  • One family-size box of Kleenex
  • One container of baby wipes
  • Two dry-erase markers
  • One sock (for dry erase board)
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (quart size)
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (gallon size)
  • One durable plastic, bottom-pocket folder
  • One box of Ziploc baggies (snack size)
  • One pair of gym shoes to remain at school
  • One bottle of hand soap
  •  One bottle of hand sanitizer
