Patch Whiz Kids of the Week: Homewood-Flossmoor Senior Carling Johns
Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Johns was recognized as a "Student of the Quarter" at H-F High School recently for her excellence in her role as a Senior Leader in P.E. classes at H-F. Johns is part of the Honors P.E. program at the high scool and she helps guide students during other P.E. classes. Johns was given the certificate by Paula Crawford, department chair of H-F's Physical Education, Health & Driver Education department.
"Carling is by far the best Senior Leader I have had the opportunity to work with," said Crawford. "She will have great success in her future endeavors."

According to Crawford, Johns is a self-starter, encouraging and helpful to the students, as well as a natural leader.
