Young Trader Triumphs: Whiz Kid

Each week, we'll feature a whiz kid, club or group from Homewood-Flossmoor.

The stock market: an often enigmatic force of nearly unlimited power over the world, more or less reserved for adults, and only a certain portion at that.

It's also the playground for student Dylan Lunceford, H-F's stock market whiz.

Last week, Governors State University's economics department honored the 9-year-old District 161 stock market team prodigy for winning second place honors in the region in the economics poster contest.

So how does a 9-year-old feel about such an esteemed honor?

"I feel great," Lunceford said. "I feel like I am on top of the world, it is amazing!"

He said his success can be attributed to several of his teachers at : Ms. Rebecca Brink, Mr. James Czerwonka, Ms. Deborah Dunwoody, Mrs. Layne Duggan and Mrs. Kate Raddatz.

Lunceford also wanted to thank his parents for their help and support.

Please join us, in congratulating Dylan Lunceford for his exemplary achievement.
