Students in School District 153 continue to excel according to newly-released data from the 2011 Illinois State Achievement Test (ISAT).
The district posted its best numbers for math since the ISAT was re-vamped in 2006, with 90 percent of students meeting or exceeding state standards. About 86 percent of students met or exceeded standards for reading.
"District 153 has always performed well on the ISATs. However, it's always great to see improvement on that already strong track record," said Superintendent Dale Mitchell.
