District 153/State Board of Education Seeks Public Input on Education of Students with Disabilities

District 153 and the State Board of Education is seeking public input into education of students with disabilities.

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is conducting a review of the way makes educational placement decisions for students with disabilities.  At the end of its review, ISBE will provide recommendations to the school district that will help it improve education for these students.

As part of that process, ISBE will hold a public forum to gather information about how works with parents and guardians in deciding how and where students with disabilities will be educated.
