Pop-Up Shops Open for Business on Harwood Avenue

Stop in and check out multiple vendors under one roof Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Pop-up shops were a smash hit, so Homewood has once again revved up the effort to turn vacant storefronts into a fresh shopping experience.

This time, all pop-up vendors will show off their wares under one roof. Fred Suizega of Suzie’s Hallmark will open his newly renovated 2,500 sq.ft. retail space at 18065 W. Harwood Avenue as the Summertime Pop-Up Spot.

Pop-up shops are an economic development initiative by the Village of Homewood to help support existing businesses by filling a gap created from a vacant storefront with a temporary vendor to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Now through July 4, shop hundreds of items from one-of-a-kind designers and experienced retailers: antiques, home décor, fashion and accessories, graduation, garden glam and more. The space will be occupied and managed by Poppies and Friends — a favorite vendor from the holiday pop-up season.
