Athlete of the Week: H-F's Boskelly Is Vikings' Field Hockey Team's Spark

Senior captain Ellice Boskelly's stick skills and leadership qualities are key for Homewood-Flossmoor's girls field hockey team.

Ellice Boskelly, a senior forward and one of two captains on the Homewood-Flossmoor girls field hockey team, is leading the charge on the field.

Boskelly tallied the lone goal in the Vikings' 4-1 loss last Thursday, and she earned praise from Vikings coach Julie Gaham.

So what stands out most when it comes to Boskelly's game? Easy, her stick work, which Gaham calls “excellent.”

Though the senior is in her final season at H-F, Boskelly has intentions of playing at the next level, Gaham said.

For her efforts, Boskelly is Patch’s Athlete of the Week.

Boskelly and the rest of the Vikings girls field hockey team will at Glenbard West at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. The Vikings return home on Saturday, Sept. 17, for a 10 a.m. game against Antioch.
