Bill and Carol Rhind: H-F Vikings Fans for Life
For around 30 years, the Rhinds have been attending Homewood-Flossmoor sporting events and other school functions to root on their children, grandchildren and others.
For about the past 30 years, Bill and Carol Rhind have been fixtures at athletic events. Seated in the stands and ready to cheer the Vikings on to victory, the Rhinds have seen their children and their children's children don the red and white of H-F.
“We started coming when our daughter Carrie came here—she's a 1985 graduate,” Carol said. “Then, for Cyndy, and now we come for our grandson, Brian Gereke, who's a junior and plays soccer and is in the band.”
The Rhinds said they still enjoy coming to all the athletic and school events they can, including Friday night football games.

“We're here all the time,” Bill said. “At least a few times a week usually. We'll be here Friday for the game for sure. We're going to watch the game and Brian play at halftime.”
