From the Ground Up: Building Stability, Flexibility and Strength in the Lower Body

Have you been wondering why you can’t hold yourself up in warrior three? Perhaps you’ve tried to keep your knees against your upper arms in crow and fell down each time.  Issues like this and many others stem from a weak core and lack of structural integrity. In this practice students will learn to strengthen and lengthen the major muscle groups of the lower body such as quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteus, abdomen and lower back.  Students who participate in this workshop will develop a better understanding of how the structural body (i.e. core, lower back and hips) supports advanced poses and overall body alignment. This workshop is open to all levels of practice.  Just be prepared to work hard and feel free to ask questions.
