Do you see the effects of the obesity epidemic around you? Have you ever worried about the amount of screen time your child or grandchild is exposed to?
Have you given thought to the lack of Nature in children’s lives nowadays or worried about your kid becoming a cave troll, they so rarely go outside?
The antidote might be easier than you think...
Come hear children’s biking expert Jane Healy speak on how to get your troglodyte into the sunshine for some fresh air while you all spend quality time together--and get exercise to boot!
Jane Healy has started up two active children’s bike groups that have encouraged over 100 children to get on their bikes, get riding, and experience the natural world around them.
From the humble beginnings of a grassroots Safe Routes to School program to the development of a teen training ride on Saturday mornings, Jane has been able to get kids excited about getting out of the house and getting active. Come join us to learn more about riding with your own children or grandchildren, how to start up a kid-focused bike group, or advocate for more active modes of getting students to and from school for your community.
