Kirchler says he looks up to New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, not only for his baseball talents but also for being a successful ladies man.

Kirchler, who hit .376 last season and had 13 stolen bases last season for the Vikings, hopes to become a champion like Jeter by helping H-F bring home a state title.
Kirchler started his baseball career when his dad taught him how to play T-ball. Since then, He has devoted countless hours to baseball.

Before a game, he likes to listen to anything by Kid Cudi, because it helps get him mentally ready. When he's not on the field, he likes to play basketball or hang out with his friends.
Kirchler is undecided on where he will attend college, but he said he wants to continue his baseball career after he leaves high school.
