Vikings Boys Basketball Comes in at No. 2

Homewood-Flossmoor, Andrew and Marist making waves, despite Blazing Trojans sitting atop Patch Power rankings.

1. Bloom Township (4-0): Donald Moore and company blazing a trail for Blazing Trojans. Good thing, too. Bloom plays in the Hoops.Com Shootout at Crete-Monee Saturday. Then, the Trojans have a date at Thornwood on Tuesday.

2. Homewood-Flossmoor (3-1): Vikings can learn from double-overtime loss to Bloom. Better to let one get away now than later.

3. Andrew (3-0): Adekoya brothers get plenty of support from the likes of Mike Bobek, Emmanuel Calungcaguin, Jarvis Franklin, Tyler Hook and Glorind Lisha.

5. Brother Rice (3-1): Crusaders had a three-game win streak halted by Riverside-Brookfield. They’ll look to bounce back vs. Catholic League rival Providence Friday night.
