Each was presented with a certificate as an IJP Kingsmen Angel by the program’s moderator, Music Instructor, Ms. Terese Frederickson.

The teacher saw a need for a positive incentive program for students at around 2005. She developed the program while she completed a Master’s degree. Frederickson said, “There is an Angel Point Committee. They meet bi-monthly to draw names of students having received Angel Points.”

6th grader, Meghan Berner was honored as a chorus member. She donated extra time and services to the IJP music program. 2nd grader, Isabella Romans was honored as a classroom helper. She used her talents and assisted students who struggled with class work. 4th grader, Alec Gonzalez assisted in gym class and organized equipment for the teacher. The students were awarded Angel Points, slips which signified the Gospel-based behavior. They were selected in a special quarterly drawing, in addition to bi-weekly awards.
