Infant Jesus of Prague School Band Concert Wows the Crowd

 

Syncopation, pitch and rhythm were keynotes during the band concert at Infant Jesus of Prague School on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The audience enjoyed familiar tunes such as “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Ode to Joy.” The Jr. Band explored various concepts of musicianship through the program.

The IJP Senior Band opened with the pop classic, “Born to Be Wild.” The group regularly places high at the Catholic Band Concert Competition. This year was no exception and the group took 2nd place. Alyssa Humphrey, Caleb Howard and Trenton Williams stood out and laid a foundation of rhythm. The group brought down the house with the popular hit by Taio Cruze, “Dynamite.”
