November Free Play Group Educates and Entertains Community Families

November Free Play Group provides education and enjoyment to community families.

The sound of children filled the hall of last Thursday.

The children were 1, 2, 3 and 4 years-old. They were accompanied by guardians who were interested in early learning opportunities for the young ones. The play-based Free Play Group was themed, “A Happy Thanksgiving.”

sponsored the activity as a service to the community for parents of 1, 2, 3 and 4 year-olds. It was established for the first Thursday of the month for the 2011-2012 school year.

Parents and Assistant Principal, Mr. Steve Chorak guided children through the Thanksgiving-themed activities for November. Families artistically created turkeys with their hands in “5-Finger Turkey.” They rolled balls through sticky fall leaves in “Fall Ball.” The attitude of gratitude was increased with the spirit and song of “Albuquerque Turkey.”

“A Merry Christmas” is scheduled to provide Christmas-themed activities and refreshments for families on Dec. 1.
