UFO Sightings: Investigative researcher Sam Maranto will present an audiovisual program on UFO sightings in Tinley Park and O'Hare Airport at the next Friends of the Homewood Library coffee house on Tuesday, October 22, at 17917 Dixie Highway, beginning at 7:00 p.m.Wednesday
Open Group Art Critique at Union Street Gallery: Union Street Gallery invites local artists to participate in a constructive art critique. Each artist is allowed to present 1-2 works of art and will be given 20 minutes for discussion. Limited to six spaces.Thursday
Paws to Read at Flossmoor Library: Kids, come visit with our beautiful canine friends, read them a story and create a cute doggie craft to take come! Friday
Union Street Beat: Open Mic Night: An evening of local art, music, and atmosphere. James Hart Fall Play: Gossamer: The James Hart Drama club takes on the serious issue of domestic violence in its annual fall play, “Gossamer.”
Taize Prayer Service: This one-hour service consists of simple songs, scripture, a service of light, periods of silence and meditation, and a time for voicing our petitions.
Ailey II (Dance Performance): Part of a 31-city world tour. Ailey II is "known for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding emerging choreographers."

Bagels with Buddies at the Homewood Library: Enjoy a bagel while listening to songs, stories and fingerplays.Symphony of Style Best of Friends Fashion Show and Luncheon: A fall tradition going back more than two decades, this benefit fashion show begins at 10:30 am with an upscale jewelry and accessory bazaar.
Monster Bash Jam Night: Open mic night and free pizza for any band or singer. For kids in grades 7-12.

Ingalls 14th Annual Conquering Breast Cancer Forum: The Conquering Breast Cancer Forum is a free educational awareness event that features oncology experts whose topics focus on medical and cultural issues surrounding breast cancer in the African-American community.
