Beyond Terrible! Bogart's has been in Homewood forever. My wife and I have had dinner there previously. Buy last evening, was terrible. I ordered the daily special...shrimp and butt steak. This is usually a great combo. I also ordered the French onion soup. When the soup arrived, my first spoon revealed absolutely zero taste! Huh? Something wrong. I continued to eat the soup. ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE WHATSOEVER! It was apparently watered down, as there was also very, very little onions in the soup. I asked my wife to taste the soup. Her response was YUK!!! STRIKE ONE! When the main course arrived I could not remove the shrimp from the shell! The shrimp was stuck inside the shell! I ended up eating one shrimp by cutting it, eating pieces, and picking out the shell pieces from my mouth! STRIKE TWO! And when I tried the butt steak, again, absolutely no flavor; no taste at all! STRIKE THREE! We could not beleive how terrible a meal this was. I gave my wife tastes of all my food, and she had the same reaction. YUK! One positive was the attentive and polite waiter we had. Adam was an excellent server. Very good guy. On the way home, it occurred to me...the meal I just had from Bogart's Charhouse was absolutely the worst meal I have in current memory! Beyond terrible. We will never return. Somethings wrong, for such a well establsihed eatery as Bogart's to serve such a terrible meal!

If you want to grill your own, their uncooked are the best anywhere! Cook more than you can eat. The next day they are better than meatloaf!
