Flossmoor School District 161 is comprised of four schools: Flossmoor Hills Elementary, Heather Hill Elementary, Parker Junior High, Serena Hills Elementary and Western Avenue Elementary.

The district serves the public education needs of Flossmoor and portions of Chicago Heights, Hazel Crest, Homewood and Olympia Fields.

Over the past few years, District 161 has made it a primary initiative to better integrate technology within its schools and inside the classroom. District 161 works to ensure that their curriculum will provide all graduates of Parker Junior High with the educational base required to excel in high school and beyond.

The District 161 administration offices are in the old Normandy Villa School.
