Open to seventh and eighth graders primarily from Willow, Churchill and Millennium elementary schools, James Hart offers many of its students their first experience with alternating teachers for core subjects. There is also the opportunity to take part in various extracurricular activities and clubs, including the school newspaper, sports teams, choir or band.
James Hart also offers a special program, which involves classes that teach students about such topics as technology, art or health. The school also hosts many activities and field trips, from school-wide community spelling bees to class trips to Springfield.
