The Village Door is a unique shop, in that, all of the works there are volunteers. These women volunteer their time to support The Cancer Support Center, located in Homewood and Mokena. The Door brings a smile to your face as soon as you walk in. If you are having a rotten day, The Door will instantly transform your negative mood into a positive frame of mind. The women are welcoming and full of spirit. The items sold in the store are all high quality and fairly marked. This is a great place to find antiques and one-of-a-kind gifts. It's one of my favorite "resale" shops in the area. Also fun to shop at are the Second Chance resale shops that benefit South Suburban Humane Society. There's one in Chicago Heights and another in Steger.
