This little boy is very clever to have figured out how to crawl inside the machine. He deservesRead More more attentive parents. I hope they are court ordered to parenting classes. For what it's worth, approximately 30 years ago, I saw a toddler swathed in diapers wander out the front door of his home. The door was wide open. He started walking down the street. I parked my car and gently held him in my arms, looking for a family member to appear. No such luck. The toddler was nonverbal and unafraid. So we walked to the police station across the street. The cops on duty immediately recognized him & thought it was funny. The toddler was a known wanderer and the cops assured me he had a loving family. REALLY? They took him back home and did not write an incident report. It disturbed me then and now that the parents and police were so nonchalant. Child neglect is amusing to some people. I am not one of them.

Natick news - Nebraska news -- well at least they both start with the letter N. I said this before IRead More think everyone should not open any article on their local Patch unless they see the name of their community in it. They are trying to trick up with news. We see a headline and think - in my case - Natick - and it is not. NO NAME - NO CLICK! I think if the click rate goes down for Patch, it will hurt them advertising wise and then maybe they will listen to us that we want LOCAL NEWS! Who wants to join me in my NO NAME No CLICK campaign?

Doesn't H-F have a residency investigator, for lack of a better term? And didn't three of the newRead More students on the team all register at the same Flossmoor address? Seems to me that the residency investigator should be a little worried about his job, too. Unless the entire transfer of former Smith players was quietly condoned... until the lawsuit.

strange how we respond just as the terrorists desire us to. the media commemorates each incident asRead More if it were a new profit center to mine for every last click. whole populations now sit in fear of another 'something' about to happen, never again, fully safe like we were in the good old days of the cold war? once these bstrds hit us deep inside our own turf we have not become stronger, but rather 'hardened', emboldened in our delusions of ultimate superiority, no longer safe on our 'island of north america'. each of these events changes us all even imperceptably, forcing us to accept their motives, their ideals, their imam imposed concept of living. we act in unison, determined to show them we are not affected, yet that very demonstration reveals our inner need to respond, to re-affirm our own injury, each of those crowd-felt sympathies we all cling to, even if for the brief moment of our 'crowd'. be strong, and further, be alert, be conspicuous in manner in which you care for each other. shy not away from those who seek your death, but do not embrace them, as they fein no challenge to seek close to your demise.

Jacob Matthews April 16, 2014 at 07:06 pm
Joe, you are 100% correct. People are clueless who they are voting for. I recently had occasion toRead More witness vigilante justice initiated and orchestrated by 19thbward alderman Matt O'Shea. I decided to do a little research. Matt O'Shea prior to being elected as an alderman was a bartender in Mt Greenwood. An alcoholic himself he had regailed a possee of voters that entailed police and firefighters forced to live within city limits. This group of racists rallied behind O'Shea for a position no one else wanted. As an elected official O'Shea persecuted a young man in the press for a misdemeanor act while letting RAPE go unnoticed. Two chicago firfighters were caught in the act if RAPING a girl in a home located in Mt Greenwood. This act was buried in the press and the 2 men involved are still employed by the city with Matt O'Sheas blessing. A building next to his office was slated for renovation that would involve section 8 housing and the possibility of black families to reside in his lily white community. Racist Matt O'Shea made sure this did not happen. Matt O'Shea demanded that residents rally together and clean up Mt Greenwood so not to give the appearance of a black community. Before going to the polls, residents of chicago need to discover the truth about the person they elect and give a position of power.

I believe both of you have very good points. @Sal, who's to say that we, as younger children orRead More people would actually listen to that advice that we were given? Mike- there is no hate here. actually a pathetic situation when one feels he is "owed"Read More something rather than earning it by working for it. Why not move down to the inner city and live there for 6 months, then get back to us!! it should be a real eye opener for you!! I work 6-7 days a week to enjoy what I have, even though i have little time to do so, I'm not complaining, but it bothers me that i am penalized by the way of extra taxes, fee's , etc., to help those who have no intention of trying to help themselves.. I have TWO children, NOT 5, 6, or 7 simply because I cannot afford it, and would NOT EXPECT the government to take care of them for me!!!

Here's the story I posted this morning and was censored by PATCH Pistol Turned to ‘SubmachineRead More Gun’ By Clueless Media April 15, 2014 | Filed under Constitutional Issues, corruption,Culture,Culture Of Corruption,Democrats,Dumb Criminals,Gun control,Liberals,Media | Posted by Warner Todd Huston Once again we get proof of how mindless and clueless the media is, how they don’t fact check, but just mindlessly pass on each other’s bad work ad infinitum. This time it happened with a story about a criminal who used a .22 caliber pistol in a crime but one clueless reporter turned it into a “submachine gun” and hundreds of his mindless colleagues followed suit passing the lie on and on and on. Clueless reporter Darryl Holliday of DNAinfo Chicago, a website that caters to local news, reported on an incident that was perpetrated by a man from West Garfield Park who began wielding a .22 caliber pistol in a grocery store because he didn’t want to pay the 22 cents tax on a bottle of pop he was trying to buy. Holliday “reported” that the crook “pulled an Intratec submachine gun out of a Gucci satchel,” and in the next paragraph again claimed the piece was a “submachine gun” saying, “Officers arrived on the scene shortly after to find Shelton’s Gucci bag open on the counter as well as 15 bullets in the blue steel .22-caliber submachine gun–eight live rounds in one magazine, five in another and one in the chamber, according to court documents.” Of course, it is clear that reporter Holliday doesn’t have any idea what he’s rambling on about. The .22 caliber Intratec pistol is not a “submachine gun. It is a semi-automatic pistol like every other semi-auto pistol. A submachine gun is an automatic rifle that uses pistol cartridges instead of larger ones such as rifle or armor piercing cartridges. A one-hand-held version of this weapon is called a “machine pistol,” but it is also fully automatic. The Intratec pistol used in this crime is not a fully automatic weapon, however. It is semi-auto-meaning it fires only once when the trigger is pulled. It does not expel a stream of bullets like a fully automatic weapon does. Yet, as soon as this story went live on April 13, dozens of other so-called news outlets took up the claim that this dolt used a “submachine gun” in his crime. All one need do is put “Nahshon Shelton submachine gun” in any search engine and dozens of so-called news stories will be revealed saying that the criminal used a “submachine gun.” It all just shows that whenever you see a report on guns in the Old Media establishment, you should not trust it. They don’t even know the proper definitions of firearms terms and from there all their “facts” are suspect.

This was out in my neck of the woods. All really great kids, college bound and starting their adultRead More lives. Having lost a child, I can say these families will mourn for as long as they live, and will have to find a "new normal" as EVERYTHING is changed for them now...I wish them strength, there is nothing quite like burying a child. Appreciated are the messages of respect and sympathy. It can be annoying to get news from areas other than your own, however the new Patch is doing things differently, and show no evidence of changing it back.....my best advice would be to ignore stories not in your area, and to write your editor directly, and share your comments with those who can make changes.
