This week's featured pet is Betsy, a cuddle-loving Papillon mix who would love a cozy lap to curl up in.
Meet Betsy: a small, white and black seven-year-old Papillon mix with an unmistakably elegant hairdo. Betsy is housebroken and extremely relaxed. Instead of sprinting around the house, she'd rather be laying next to you in bed or curling up in your lap. This cuddle-loving dog wants you all to herself and would prefer to be in a home with no other cats or dogs. She would make the perfect companion for a senior citizen. Meet Wednesday, a SSHS staff favorite.
Say hello to 3-year-old Chihuahua, Long Coat Mix named Wednesday. Wednesday is small, white and has a crooked front leg, which doesn't keep her from being able to walk. That said, she still would be best in a "quiet home with no children," according to SSHS staff. She's a fragile dog. Wednesday has been spayed. Meet Hitch, one of the cutest pups currently available for adoption at the South Suburban Humane Society!
Hitch is an adorable 5-year-old black and tan Shiba Inu Mix who has already been neutered. According to the South Suburban Humane Society, Hitch is a well-behaved little guy who loves to go outside for walks. SSHS describes Hitch as a small, playful pup who is gentle enough to take a treat politely out of your hand. He is looking to find a home that will give him a yard to run around in and a comfy couch to cuddle on. Could you give the loveable Hitch his forever home?

Bianca is a small, all-white domestic shorthair mix.
Meet Bianca, an "all-white bombshell with baby blue eyes," says the South Suburban Humane Society staff. Bianca is deaf and would need to be an a home with no other pets or children under seven, because she would not be able to hear them coming. Shamrock, a gentle American Pitbull-Terrier mix, is the pet of the week!
Meet Shamrock, a 2-year-old American Pitbull-Terrier mix currently living at the South Suburban Humane Society (SSHS). Shamrock is a bit shy at first, but is very gentle and loves all the attention she can get. She walks very well on a leash and loves to play fetch. This week's pet of the week is Freddy, an adorable 2-year-old cat.
Meet Freddy, a 2-year-old domestic shorthair mix and an all-around friendly cat. He has a beautiful black and brown tabby coat and big, beautiful eyes. Freddy currently lives at the South Suburban Humane Society and has already been neutered and housetrained. Freddy has been at SSHS for a relatively short time: just over a month.
