Sixth Homewood Cash Mob
The sixth Homewood Cash Mob will take place on Saturday, October 20th.
The secret venues will be announced on Friday. This will be an ALL-DAY event; shop any time during the venue's business hours, then gather for the aftermob at 7 pm.

The event will last all day long and everyone is welcome to swing by and take advantage of special Cash Mob deals. After party at Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar.
Patch took some time to catch up with the Homewood Cash Mob's chief proponent, Kate Duff, to see how the idea is maturing and learn what to expect during Wednesday's mob.

Scores of people came out to shop at Art 4 Soul over the weekend during the Southland's first ever Cash Mob.
In but a lightening fast two-hour interval, the mob came and left Art 4 Soul last Saturday. "This is very much different than a normal day of business," Owner Jen Sesto said. "This has been a tremendous, tremendous outpouring of the community." Beyond the immediate influx of cash, Sesto says she is confident the mob will produce residual value as well. "This is what Homewood's all about," Homewood Community Development Director Paula Wallrich said. "We do have a pretty strong shop local program, but this epitomizes everything we try so hard to do and it's all happening on one day." The local art store will get mobbed with committed shoppers tonight during the first ever Southland Cash Mob.
Ready or not, here they come. Art 4 Soul have been announced as the location of the first ever Homewood (and Southland) Cash Mob. As of right now, the Homewood Cash Mob Facebook page is showing 64 people committed to showing up between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to spend some denomination of money at the store. Better yet, there's a special mob discount: 15 percent off all purchases. But that's not all! A post-mob party is scheduled among two of Homewood's newest restaurants: Twisted Q Barbeque and Bakery and Good Life Cafe.
