Comcast offers a program for low-cost monthly Internet access and a computer for under $150.
By Jason Spencer Families with at least one child receiving free or reduced price school lunch are eligible for a Comcast program that provides broadband Internet access for less than $10 a month. The Comcast program, Internet Essentials, is in its second year and is part of a larger, industry-wide effort to increase high-speed Internet access among low-income families. Free Crafts Lakeshore Learning has free crafts for kids on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the upcoming crafts include making a Save the Earth tote bag, a bunny basket and a gift for Mother's Day. Build and Grow Workshop Lowe's offers Build and Grow Workshops for children on Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. You can register your child online for the classes, but a grownup must attend with your child.
