In H-F Park District Kickball, It's Down to the Last Two
Supo Sanni, a former football and basketball standout at Homewood-Flossmoor, is poised to return to the playing field at the University of Illinois.
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District kickball tournament is down to the final two as both the Chestnuts and Lassen's Assassins advanced to Thursday night's final. Lassen's Assassins, the defending champs, took down Ball Hogs, while the Chestnuts, the tournament's top seed, defeated New Kicks on the Block 6-4. The Chestnuts (10-1) took a commanding lead early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning. Like he has all summer, pitcher Steven Tobin was in control on the mound and contributed on offense as well. Outside of a two-out rally in the last inning by New Kicks on the Block, the game was never in doubt. The Chestnuts will meet Lassen's Assassins behind the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the title …
