The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is hosting Nerf Wars on Tuesday, March 26, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Homewood-Flossmoor Auditorium.
Homewood-Flossmoor residents 16 and under should get ready for the ultimate Nerf showdown, as the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District hosts 'Nerf Wars.' The event will be held Tuesday, March 26, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Auditorium. Beginning at 2 p.m. with the eight and younger division, the event will be broken down by age groups, with each group battling for two hours at a time. Teams are encouraged to dress in battle gear and participants must be at the event prior to their battle time to go over the safety rules. The cost for the event is $35 for residents and $52.50 for non-residents. For more information about this event or to register, contact the park district at 708-957-0300.
Voters will be asked to vote for two of the three candidates running in this contested race.

After losing reelection, seven-year H-F Park District Board member Peter Camin was presented with kind words and gifts during his last meeting as a board member.
Cake and sparkling grape juice welcomed guests to the H-F Park District’s board meeting on April 19. The concessions were served in honor of Commissioner Peter Camin’s last meeting as a board member. Camin, a seven-year board member and former president, recently lost re-election to Dallas Collins. Under Camin’s presidency of the board, the H-F Park District was honored as a national gold medal award finalist by the National Recreation and Park Association.
