We asked our H-F Patch Facebook friends for questions for Homewood Village President Richard Hofeld. Now, we need your help to prioritize them. While we'd love to ask Hofeld every question, he's got things to do, including a village to run. All are invited to vote in our poll below to help us decide which questions are the most pressing. In much the same way we executed the Minutes with the Mayor series on Chicago Heights Patch and Homewood-Flossmoor Patch, we're planning to ask the candidates questions from their potential constituents.
The race for the Illinois Second District Congressional seat is arguably one of the most important races of the year for those of us who live in the district. With Election Day just two months away (sooner for you early voters) it's becoming increasingly important to know more about these candidates and their plans. Incumbent Jesse Jackson Jr. has had a rough year to say the least, and his opponents, Brian Woodworth and Marcus Lewis, are looking to unseat a man who has held the same spot for nearly 18 years. Over the past two months we've heard plenty of comments on Jackson's health, but we have not heard much about the candidates' platforms and plans. What makes these three so different from each other? Help us narrow down public questions for Homewood Village President Richard Hofeld.
Our first series of Minutes With the Mayor seems to be gaining some traction so far, but there's still a lot of questions out there. Thanks to some great feedback from our readers, we're hoping to make the second round of Minutes With the Mayor even better than the first. Between Facebook and the Patch comments section, we've already amassed a large amount of questions from our readers. Now, we need your help to narrow it down. Per Margaret's "concerned about the number of home break-ins i've been hearing about--what are the police doing about this?" So am I. We had a number of home break-ins on Hickory a few months ago, in fact one was right next door to me.
