"The Machine" National Juried Exhibit Opening Reception

“The Machine” National Juried Exhibit
September 25-October 26
Reception: Friday,  September 27 | 6-9pm

Jurors: Jason Brammer; Chicago based artist and Jason Foumberg; Art critic and editor for Newcity

The Machine consists of 34 talented artists from 15 different states exhibiting 46 pieces of artwork that have everything and anything to do with machines.

The word Machine has many definitions. A machine is a device consisting of fixed and moving parts that modifies mechanical energy; a simple device, such as a lever that alters the magnitude or direction; a system or device for doing work, such as a car or a power tool; a system or device, such as a computer, that performs or assists in the performance of a human task.

Artwork exhibiting includes painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and digital art, each representing the theme of The Machine in different ways. Some pieces depict real or imagined machines, some use actual machine parts, and some pieces are machines themselves that can be interacted with.

Join us for the opening reception of this dynamic and industrious exhibit Friday September 27th, 6-9pm. Many of the exhibiting artists will be present at the reception and we encourage our visiting public to engage these artists about their work. Admission is free, but a donation is appreciated. Refreshments will be served.
