Baby Bloomers Storytime at the Homewood Library: "New  Day and Time! Baby Bloomers is a storytime for babies thru 2 years old that encourages early literacy through reading and playing."

Tuesday

National Voter Registration Day: "Members of the Homewood-Flossmoor Area LWV will be registering voters at the Homewood Library on National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m."

Thursday

Drop In Storyhour at the Homewood Library: "Unable to commit to a weekly storyhour? Grandkids visiting? Fall into stories, crafts, and more at Homewood Library's Drop In Storyhour—geared to 3-5 year olds."

Free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Screenings: "It's prostate cancer awareness month and Advocate South Suburban Hospital is hosting a free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening for men."

Kids Who Care Service Project at Flossmoor Library: "This program, presented in conjunction with Kids Who Care, is a great opportunity for teens in grades 6 - 12 to give back to the community by creating greeting cards for local seniors."

Friday

Knitting Sit-In: Exactly what it sounds like. Held at the Flossmoor Public Library. For all ages and skill levels.

"The Machine" National Juried Exhibit Opening Reception: A dynamic and industrious exhibit featuring 34 talented artists from 15 different states exhibiting 46 pieces of artwork that have everything and anything to do with machines.

Saturday

Fall Fishing Derby: "Try your luck at catching the biggest fish in your age group. Be sure to register the anglers by 10:30 a.m. that day as all participants receive a raffle ticket."

Flossmoor Fall Family Campout: "Camping in town? Yes! This year marks the 7th year of camping in Flossmoor Park. The campout is complete with a cookout, campfire, family games and movies. Bring a tent, sleeping bags, snacks and a flashlight. Don’t have a tent? Rent one from us!"
